Berwyn is the target for the best in suburban Chicago ‚Äď charming residential neighborhoods, quality schools, nightlife, beautiful parks and open space, and unique restaurants and retailers, just to mention a few of our highlights!

The City prides itself on providing superior governmental services to its residents, property owners, and businesses.  The BDC serves the City as its economic development arm, retaining and attracting businesses that add to the great quality of life that our residents enjoy.

Berwyn began and continues to be an ethnically diverse community.  Families with Czech and Bohemian roots, together with Italian-American, Greek, Lithuanian, Polish, Slavic, and Ukrainian origins have been  joined in recent years by Latino, African-American, and Asian-American households, all calling Berwyn home.  Our city is also experiencing a significant influx of young families and professionals who are attracted by its convenient location, historic and inviting homes, and safe neighborhoods.

The City consists of 3.8 square miles, and is roughly bounded by Roosevelt Road on the north, Pershing Road on the south, Lombard Avenue on the east, and Harlem Avenue on the west.
